Donate Yarn and Needles Directly Via String of Purls!
Bring any unwanted yarn or needles into the store.
We will send it to knitting groups at a local elementary school.
String of Purls also sends yarn to
a women's community in the Dominican Republic through Creighton University. These women support their families through their knitted goods. They are in need of cotton in finer weights, which is not often donated, so anything you may give will be greatly appreciated!
Other Charities That Accept Knitted Goods

The Ships Project

Warm Woolies
Warm Woolies is a non-profit organization whose volunteers knit warm clothing for poverty-stricken children who would otherwise suffer from cold. Their mission is to provide the very neediest children with wool sweaters, vests, hats, mittens, and socks.
